Temporary Closing of the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum

Dear Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum Family,

Amidst the uncertainty of COVID-19, the Museum’s highest priority is the health and well-being of our Survivors, staff, visitors, and volunteers. In light of the State of Emergency in Dallas, the state of Texas, and the country, and the public health recommendations to avoid large gatherings, we have decided to temporarily close the Museum starting Saturday, March 14 through Sunday, March 22, 2020 and will postpone all events and programs through Thursday, April 30, 2020.

We continue to closely monitor developments and we will make decisions on the Museum’s operating hours on a week-by-week basis. We will share timely updates through the following channels:

Website: www.dhhrm.org

Twitter: https://twitter.com/dhhrm_org or @dhhrm_org

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dhhrm/ or @DHHRM

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dhhrm_org/ or @dhhrm_org

We are exploring creative ways to provide interesting and uplifting digital content and virtual programming to continue to inspire Upstander behavior during this unsettling time. We are grateful to our Survivors, Board of Directors, staff, visitors, volunteers, members, donors, and partners for your continued support of the Museum and our mission.

We wish you all continued health and safety.

Sincerely,

– Mary Pat Higgins, President and CEO

– Frank Risch, Board Chair
