VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We are looking to grow our volunteer family! The Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum is dedicated to providing an engaging, rewarding volunteer program. Our volunteers are essential to the fulfillment of the Museum’s mission and play a key role in creating a meaningful experience for our guests.

WHO CAN VOLUNTEER?

  • Teens aged 13 and older. Volunteers must be 14 or above to serve without a parent or guardian present.
  • Adults aged 18 and older.

Our volunteer opportunities are geared toward individuals; unfortunately, we are unable to offer single-day group volunteer activities as all of our volunteer roles require some training and are best suited to longer-term volunteering.

INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING?

We are looking to grow our volunteer family! We have several volunteer roles available, including:

  • Dimensions in TestimonySM Facilitator
  • Gallery Docent
  • Visitor Guide

Click here to view general information about each volunteer role. All volunteers will be asked to serve 10 hours as a Visitor Guide before training for other positions. Questions? Email volunteer@DHHRM.org

PRESIDENTIAL SERVICE AWARD

The Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum is a certifying organization for the Presidential Volunteer Service Award. Created in 2003 by the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation, the Presidential Volunteer Service Award recognizes exemplary volunteers of all ages who positively impact their communities through volunteer service.

Recipients of the award receive a personalized certificate and a congratulatory letter from the president. Learn more about the award here. The Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum does not set the requirements for earning this award.
