Statement on Holocaust Memorial Exhibition in UAE

The Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum is excited to share that a Holocaust memorial exhibition has opened in the United Arab Emirates. The first of its kind, the “We Remember” exhibition at the Crossroads of Civilizations Museum in Dubai features first-hand testimonies of Holocaust Survivors.

The installation of this exhibition further proves the importance of teaching the history of the Holocaust and its lessons. As Katherine Meyer, secretary general of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, told CNN “…the unprecedented character of the Holocaust will always hold universal meaning.”

The Holocaust educates us about the worst of humanity. It demonstrates man’s ultimate inhumanity against man. By continuing to teach the history of the Holocaust around the world, we continue to take steps towards ensuring such horrific atrocities cease to occur in the future.

The Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum is committed to teaching the history of the Holocaust and advancing human rights to combat prejudice, hatred, and indifference.
