Important Update from Museum President and CEO and Board Chair

Dear Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum Family,

The Museum has extended its temporary closure until further notice to be in line with City, County, and State guidance.

However, just because we are physically closed, doesn’t mean that we aren’t continuing to spread our mission and inspire hope, respect, and Upstander behavior through education!

Virtual Learning – Bringing innovative education to you!

Our Education team is developing digital content for families, students and teachers that will soon be available FREE OF CHARGE on our website. Check back to learn more!

Live Streaming – It’s not just for the kids today!

Our Programs team is working with several of our upcoming speakers to create live-streaming programs so that you may continue to engage with these mission-relevant topics. So stay tuned and we’ll share these links when they become available!

Share your Upstander stories!

We want to hear YOUR stories of anything you’ve seen or been a part of that reminds us that being kind, generous, respectful, and understanding can help us through difficult times. Email info@dhhrm.org or post on social media. #MissionMoments or #UpstanderMoment

Be sure to follow us on Facebook and invite your friends too! We will regularly post inspiring stories and videos of our mission in action.

In closing, we miss the energy of our visitors. This week, the Museum would typically be filled with the bustling sounds of hundreds of students, teachers gathering their classes, and adults thinking about the importance of being Upstanders in their own lives. We miss seeing visitors as they leave the Museum, changed from when they arrived. As the Museum sits empty, we reflect on the importance of education. We will not stop achieving our mission, using innovative technology to share these critical lessons with our community – virtually.

A QUICK COURTESY REMINDER

All programs previously scheduled through April 30th, including the Member Open House, have been postponed. We will continue to monitor the situation and will notify you the second we hear that we can reopen our Museum. For now, staff continue to work from home, but are available by phone and email. Contact information.

Until our next update, please continue to stay safe and healthy, and let’s commit to share our positive spirit, understanding, and respect with one another.

Being an Upstander has never been more important!

Sincerely,

-Mary Pat Higgins, Museum President and CEO

-Frank Risch, Board Chair
