Mary Pat Higgins, Museum President and CEO
Mary Pat Higgins is President and CEO of the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum. She joined the Museum in 2014. She will speak on the Museum’s mission to teach the history of the Holocaust and advance human rights to combat prejudice, hatred, and indifference, and all that entails. Prior to joining the Museum, she served as the Associate Head and Chief Financial Officer at The Hockaday School for more than twenty years, where she was responsible for all financial and operational functions. Higgins holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting from The University of Texas and an M.B.A. from the SMU Executive M.B.A. Program.
Higgins is a Certified Public Accountant, was an auditor with Arthur Andersen LLP. She currently serves on the Board of Ursuline Academy of Dallas.
Frank Risch, Museum Board Chair
Frank Risch was recruited to join the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum Board of Directors in the mid-’90s. At that time, the Museum occupied a portion of the lower level of the Jewish Community Center. Risch has been a tireless supporter of the Museum for twenty-three years, watching it outgrow its space at the JCC to a larger leased space in the West End Historic District of downtown Dallas and now to the new Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum. His commitment to the Museum’s mission to teach the history of the Holocaust and advance human rights to combat prejudice, hatred, and indifference stemmed in part from the loss of family members during the Holocaust.
Frank and his wife, Helen, are an altruistic team willing to donate their time and contribute financial support to the causes they’ve chosen, even though they have vastly different charitable interests. Helen is on the boards of Levine Academy, Legacy, the Federation’s Jewish Women’s Philanthropy Center, and the Visiting Nurse Association of Dallas. Frank serves on the boards of the Dallas Theater Center, the AT&T Performing Arts Center, Communities Foundation of Texas, Carnegie Mellon University-Tepper School of Business, and other organizations in addition to the Museum.
